On June 22, 2022, dear friend and supporter of The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial, Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Alexander Jefferson passed.
Alex is the definition of an American hero and is an inspiration to us all. He served as a consultant to the various elements of the memorial design as well as honorary chair of the Education Coalition. He was living history and will be dearly missed.
