Ethan Baker is currently the Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Troy and has served on City Council since 2015. Having worked for President & Mrs. Reagan in their California post-presidential office, Ethan has always had a deep respect and admiration for the Greatest Generation and is honored to be part of bringing this memorial to Michigan. Ethan is an attorney with his own law practice in Troy and he and his wife, Bethany, have three children.
Dave Berry is an Assistant Director with the UAW-Ford and is a veteran of the United States Army as a Medical Combat Specialist. Dave is proud to be a partner with The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial and to honor our Greatest Generation. He is a dedicated member of our team and he currently lives in Fowlerville with his wife Gail.
Steve Bieda served in the Michigan House and Senate and sponsored The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial income tax check-off. Steve previously initiated and led efforts to raise private funds to replace Civil War cannons that had stood sentinel on the east front of the Michigan Capitol. His efforts led to the erection of monuments honoring architect Elijah Myers and nickel designer Felix Schlag, and for “Transcending”--a major monument honoring the labor movement, which graces Hart Plaza.
Marty Knollenberg is a lifelong resident of Michigan and has been active as a business owner, community activist and public servant. Marty has owned several businesses over his 32 year business career. He is currently the owner of an Allstate Insurance Agency and two Sedona Taphouse restaurants. He has been a member of Chambers of Commerces, Kiwanis, Troy Community Coalition, DEAFCAN and other organizations. His public service career includes Oakland County Commissioner and Parks Commissioner, State Representative and State Senate.
Dan Kurkowski is a master gunsmith and owner of D&D Gunsmiths Ltd, Troy, Michigan. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, historian and board advisor for the Michigan Antique Arms Collectors. Dan is also a WWII military vehicle collector and son of a WWII veteran. He is a supporter of the Constitution and those who came to defend its freedoms and sacrificed themselves in WWII. “Because of this I fully support The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial.”
